This week, 60 Minutes will air some of the most disturbing footage in its 47-year history. Scott Pelley’s report, “A Crime Against Humanity,” examines the 2013 sarin gas attack that was unleashed on the suburbs of Damascus, killing an estimated 1,429 civilians — including 426 children — according to U.S. intelligence. Pelley’s report will be broadcast on 60 Minutes, Sunday, August 23 at 7 p.m. ET/PT line cookie run hack.

This will be the second airing of the report; it was first broadcast on 60 Minutes in April.

Viewing the footage is crucial to understanding the magnitude of the atrocity, Pelley tells 60 Minutes Overtime’s Ann Silvio in a discussion about the report (video above).

Eyewitness cellphone videos, broadcast on 60 Minutes, show the aftermath of the 2013 sarin gas attack and the horror that victims of all ages suffered — including seizures, vomiting, and respiratory failure.

Pelley believes the cellphone video could be important evidence of a crime against humanity. Working with producers Nicole Young and Katie Kerbstat, his goal was to collect the available evidence of the attack and put it in one story from visit here.

“What would’ve happened during the Holocaust if all the Jews had cellphones?” Pelley wonders. “Certainly the world would’ve found out much sooner what was happening.”

Pelley first reported on the attack for the CBS Evening News in 2013. As images of the victim were arriving in the newsroom, he decided then to embark on a more detailed investigation of what happened for 60 Minutes.

“That’s not the kind of thing you want to report on for a couple of days and then walk away and never remember again,” Pelley says. “You want to never forget that that kind of thing happened — and that’s where 60 Minutes comes in.”

Three Americans Hailed As Heroes By French For Foiling Train Attack 2:48 8 ball pool

Three Americans, including two servicemen, who tackled a gunman aboard a train from Amsterdam to Paris on Friday are being hailed as heroes for thwarting what could have been a massacre.

Airman First Class Spencer Stone, Oregon National Guard Specialist Alek Skarlatos and college senior Anthony Sadler, all friends from childhood, were traveling on the high-speed train when they heard a gunshot and glass shattering.

“I saw a guy entering the train with an AK-47 and a handgun, and I just looked over to Spencer and said, ‘Let’s go, go!'” Skarlatos said.

The three, along with a British man, Chris Norman, rushed the alleged attacker, who authorities believe is a 26-year-old Moroccan man flagged by Spanish authorities in February 2014 because of his connections to radical Islam.

Two people, including Stone, were seriously hurt with non-life-threatening injuries. A third received minor injuries. Officials told NBC News that Stone underwent successful hand operation, and along with the other Americans, will be hosted by French President Francois Hollande for a meeting Monday.

Stone left the hospital Saturday.

President Obama called the Americans on Saturday to commend the men for their courage, Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz confirmed.

“The President expressed his gratitude to these three individuals for their heroic actions forestalling an even greater tragedy. The President wished Airman Stone a full and speedy recovery, and expressed how proud all Americans are of their extraordinary bravery,” Schultz said.

Norman, 62, said at a news conference Saturday that he feared the gunman would kill them all.

“He had a magazine full. I don’t know how many magazines he had,” Norman said. “My thought was, ‘OK, I’m probably going to die anyway, so let’s go.’ I’d rather die getting active from www.bigfishcasinocheatss.com/.”

U.S. European Command Commander Gen. Philip M. Breedlove said the Americans were traveling while on leave from the military and “took immediate action to subdue an armed gunman before he could engage his automatic weapon on the train.”

“These men are heroes. Actions like this clearly illustrate the courage and commitment our young men and women have all the time, whether they are on duty or on leave,” he said. “We are extremely proud of their efforts and now are praying for our injured airman to have a speedy recovery.

The shooting happened at 5:45 p.m. local time near Arras, France. Witnesses and authorities said a French passenger who was walking toward the bathroom saw the gunman. The Frenchman tried to subdue the heavily armed man, then fled down a corridor, and the suspect fired two or three shots.

One round hit a man of dual French and American citizenship who was sitting on the train, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.

Stone, hearing the commotion, bolted after the suspect, pushing him against the restroom, witnesses and local police said. The suspect took out a box-cutter and slashed Stone as they fought; Skarlatos and Sadler, along with the Brit, Norman, then held him down until authorities could arrest him

One of the Americans said they took an AK-47 assault rifle and a handgun from the attacker as they saw him walk down the aisle of the train.

Two of the American men who overpowered the gunman, Spencer Stone and Alek Skarlatos, are members of the Air Force and the National Guard respectively.

They were travelling on the train from Amsterdam to Paris on Friday evening with a childhood friend, Anthony Sadler, who also helped restrain the attacker moviestarplanethackonlines.

When a French passenger tried to enter a toilet on the train, he encountered the gunman, tried to overpower him and the gun was then fired, Mr Cazeneuve said.

A French-American passenger was injured by the bullet, and the American passengers intervened shortly afterward, he said.

“Spencer got to the guy first and grabbed the guy by the neck,” Mr Skarlatos told Sky News.

“I grabbed the handgun, got that away from the guy and threw it. Then I grabbed the AK-47, which was at his feet, and started muzzle-bumping him in the head with it.

“Everybody just started beating the guy while Spencer held the chokehold until he went unconscious.”

When he checked the AK-47, Mr Skarlatos said it had jammed and would not have been able to fire. The cartridge for the handgun had also been dropped, he said.

Mr Sadler said: “I came to see my friends on my first trip in Europe, and we stopped a terrorist. Kinda crazy.”

Mr Cazeneuve said Mr Hollande had thanked the men by telephone and will meet them in the coming days.

Chris Norman, a British man living in France, was also hurt while trying to subdue the attacker with boom beach hack.

“I came in at the end of it all and helped get him under control,” he said at a news conference in Arras.

“The guy pulled out a cutter and started cutting Spencer – he cut behind his neck and nearly cut his thumb off.”

The second seriously injured man, who has not been identified, suffered severe cuts to his neck. Spencer Stone went to help him despite his own injuries. Mr Stone remains in hospital.

“I’m really proud of my friend that he just reacted so quickly and so bravely,” Anthony Sadler said.

“He was really the first one over there. Even after being injured himself, he went to go help the other man who was bleeding also. Without his help, he would have died.

“That man was bleeding from his neck profusely.”

The 554 passengers included French actor Jean-Hugues Anglade, the star of Betty Blue and Nikita, who was lightly wounded breaking glass to sound the alarm covetfashioncheat.com.

“I thought it was the end, that we were going to die, that he was going to kill us all,” he said.

The American men and Mr Norman were awarded medals for bravery by authorities in Arras.
